George Preger President & CEO People Talent Inc.

Mr. Preger has 32 years senior level Executive Search experience gained from a myriad of industries including the energy, automotive and aerospace sectors. He has also acted as an adviser to the CEO’s of a number of publicly listed companies, in Canada, the US, France and in Sweden.

His forte is selecting, advising and tutoring senior executive teams with the purpose of enabling them to build and fulfill strategic and tactical corporate objectives. George’s success is built in large part on the skill and sophistication with which he conducts searches and reference checks. and the care with which he reports to the client, not only on a candidate’s strengths, but on his weaknesses.  George pursues a matter to completion regardless of its complexity or duration, insuring that the expectations of  both client and the candidate are met over the long term.

George also has extensive experience in corporate restructuring, involving mergers, acquisitions, plant and office closings and assisting management to take companies public. He coaches them in their new responsibilities once a company is listed on a larger stock exchange. He has assisted companies in the transfer from the Calgary Exchange to the Toronto Stock Exchange and from The Montreal Exchange to the NYX and to Frankfurt.

In addition, George has assisted numerous Fortune 500 companies during his career as well as some of Canada’s largest privately held companies and pension funds.

George is a past Director and Trustee of the Riverdale Hospital (now Bridgepoint Health Centre), a past Director of Junior Achievement of Canada, past Chairman of the Board of the Swedish-Canadian Chamber of Commerce and past Membership Co-Chair of CMC Ontario, GTA Chapter.

Here are a couple more noteworthy points:

  • Arranged the first official State Visit to Toronto of the King & Queen of Sweden
  • Accepted Raoul Wallenberg’s Honorary Canadian citizenship from the Parliamentarians who drafted Provate Members’ Bill, in the presence of H.E. Per Anger, then Swedish Ambassador to Canada. (Per Anger served with Raoul Wallenberg at the Swedish Legation in Budapest 1944-45.)
  • Director: Barrymore Entertainment Inc and Barrymore Theatrical Inc.
  • Director: Skills for Change, GTA-based NGO with 100 employees
