Scandinavian Airlines (SAS), founded in 1946, is Scandinavia’s leading airline. SAS offers more than 800 daily flights and transports 30 million passengers to 130 destinations in Scandinavia, Europe, USA, Canada, and Asia. SAS was one of the founder member airlines of the Star Alliance. Membership in Star Alliance offers SAS access to a far-reaching global network and smooth connections. SAS operates non-stop from New York (Newark) to Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm; from Chicago to Copenhagen and Stockholm; from Boston to Copenhagen; from Washington (Dulles) to Copenhagen; from Miami to Copenhagen, Oslo and Stockholm; from San Francisco and from Los Angeles to Copenhagen. Staring June 2022, SAS will offer daily services between Toronto and Scandinavia with four weekly departures to Stockholm and three to Copenhagen. SAS took delivery of the new Airbus 350 long haul aircraft in 2020. The A350 will complement the recently refurbished A330. SAS has also invested in Airbus 321LR, which is part of the latest generation of aircraft. The technological improvements of SAS fleet and the addition of the new aircraft give SAS a long-haul fleet that is top of class in the industry. With ultra-modern cabins, SAS offers world class comfort in all three service classes It strengthens SAS customer offering with regards to comfort, service and efficiency. Furthermore, it significantly brings down fuel consumption, which will lower cost and support SAS goals to reduce emissions. SAS is committed to be the industry leader regarding sustainable aviation and reduce its emissions by 25 per cent by 2025, in comparison to levels in 2005.
