“Wallstreet” is a Nordic Chambers collaboration that pulls together Business Management, Politics, and Economics around a common topic.
This is our third event and the focus is on Sustainability – Innovation – Low Carbon Living, its impact on the Construction/ Building sector and the effect on the Economy/Politics from a Micro/Macro perspective.

 

Keynote address:

Former Mayor of Toronto, Mr. David Miller is just back from a trip to Scandinavia and a visit to a Low-Carbon community in Stockholm and will be sharing his findings and their relevance for Canadian projects. Stockholm: Cities and Green Growth – Urban Evolution

 

Speakers:

Mr. John Campbell, CEO Waterfront Toronto, will be talking about the progress underway on the revitalization of Toronto’s waterfront. He will also discuss how Nordic experience in sustainability has informed Waterfront Toronto approach.

Mr. Sean Monclús, Operations manager/Envac Systems Canada Inc will present on recycling innovation in Low-Carbon communities. Smart garbage: Pneumatic refuse collection, goes from trend to movement.

Mr. Ken Greenberg, is an architect, urban designer, teacher, writer, former Director of Urban Design and Architecture for the City of Toronto and Principal of Greenberg Consultants. He will discuss how we can turn the world’s urban spaces back into homes for the future. Seeing Cities as Part of Nature (Getting Denser and Greener.)
